Our program can provide assistance with various activities of daily living, while residents remain in their independent living apartments.
Assisted Living
Until recently, a senior needing assistance with some of life's daily activities had only a few choices -- a nursing home, live in help or relying on a friend or family member. Now, Orlando Lutheran Towers offers seniors and their families a very popular alternative.
At the Towers, Assisted Living residents will be able to continue living in their own private apartments while receiving just the right level of service they need from a supportive and nurturing staff. Called Assisted Living, these apartments offer more freedom than a nursing home and a more extensive level of care than a private family home. Daily tasks and errands will no longer be a bother. Emergency medical attention is available 24 hours a day, and our "state of the art" skilled nursing facility and rehabilitative center offers short and long term care as well.
Individualized assistance plan includes assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and the following services:
• Medication monitoring
• Three delicious meals daily
• Weekly personal laundry and flat iron service
• Complete apartment maintenance
• All utilities including local telephone and basic cable
• 24 hour security
• Emergency response system
• Weekly housekeeping
• Scheduled transportation
• Stimulating social activities
• Access to our "state of the art" skilled nursing center
A full schedule of activities is planned that offers everything from physical fitness to social and educational events. Residents are encouraged to enjoy the companionship of friends and family, and to be as involved and as active as they would like.
At Orlando Lutheran Towers, receiving extra service does not mean a loss of function. Our priority is to help residents stay independent for as long as possible, so they can enjoy a greater quality of life then they would living alone.

Wellness Center
The Orlando Lutheran Towers is dedicated to our residents being in good health, empowerment, and enjoying life more. Wellness can encompass physical, intellectual, social, emotional, spiritual, vocational and environmental health. It is a lifelong process of consciously optimizing one’s well-being. At the Wellness Center activities are adapted to residents’ different abilities. The most important outcome of having a Wellness Center is improving residents’ quality of life. Residents participate in our fitness center because it’s a positive place to go. It feels good to be where people are maintaining, not losing, their edge on life.
Our goal at the wellness center is to optimize the physical, mental and spiritual well being of our clients. Increasing physical activity and focusing on prevention helps enhance the overall health and quality of life for our clients. Our programs are designed to assist residents in maintaining a higher level of independence and helps prevent many debilitating conditions common to the elderly population.
The Wellness center was recently expanded and upgraded with new Cybex® equipment
and flat screen T.V.'s for the enjoyment of our many active residents. The
1500 sq. ft. wellness center is staffed and managed by Scott Muller who is a
degreed exercise physiologist from the University of Miami. For the past 5
years Scott has been providing exercise advice and the management of
ancillary needs such as the coordination of diet and physician orders for
the unique needs of each resident who visits the center. The wellness
center recently added several telemedicine kiosks that provide many medical
services such as blood pressure and heart rate information free of charge to
the residents. This is an initiative that campus management believes is the
future of our industry. Scott is trained in the use of these machines and
has successfully integrated this service into a part of the daily work out.
Classes and individual attention to specific needs are available upon
request.
Our goal at our Wellness/Fitness Center is to optimize the physical, mental and spiritual well being of our residents and clients. Increasing physical activity and focusing on prevention helps enhance the overall health of our residents. Our goal is to maximize our resident’s ability to be independent and to preserve their dignity as they age.
