Do I have to sign over my assets to live in the Orlando Lutheran Towers?
ABSOLUTELY NOT: As a resident of the Orlando Lutheran Towers you pay a one time entry fee and a monthly maintenance fee. You maintain total control of your assets, knowing that if you ever choose to leave the community you may do so with your assets intact.

What is the process for qualification?
The Orlando Lutheran Towers has a highly trained Sales/Marketing staff who are trained to assist prospective residents evaluate their financial situation as compared to the requirements for living in our community. Your counselor works closely with the Financial Department to let you know if the Orlando Lutheran Towers is right for you.

The cost of living at the Orlando Lutheran Towers seems to be more than if I were to live at home.
If you take all the living expenses and add to that the possible services you may need in the future, the value of living at the Orlando Lutheran Towers is incredible (please see Comparison Chart for a full breakdown).

Are there Residency Plan Choices?
Upon acceptance of your application any qualified prospect has the option to choose the Standard Contract which provides a prorated refund during the first 48 months of living at the Orlando Lutheran Towers. Some people say the community is just a large Nursing Home. Is this correct?
Couldn’t be farther from the truth: The Orlando Lutheran Towers provides a complete living environment where healthy, independent people enjoy an active carefree lifestyle. As a resident ages in place and extra assistance is needed, isn’t it comforting to know that you have priority access to our Assisted Living (private apartment homes) as well as our State of the art Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center if the need should arise.

What is the "Future Residency Plan"?
The Orlando Lutheran Towers offers prospective residents who aren’t ready to chose an apartment for any one of several reasons, the opportunity to make a “Wait List Deposit” towards residency in the community for a future date. This deposit ensures priority consideration when the time comes that they are ready to commit to an apartment. It also guarantees them that the Orlando Lutheran Towers sales/marketing staff will keep in close contact with them until the time we can welcome them into our community.

Are there any tax benefits or breaks to living in a CCRC?
The IRS allow a portion of the entrance fee and a portion of the monthly maintenance fee to be listed to medical care to be deducted as a medical expense in the year paid. We encourage all interested parties (future residents) to consult with their personal tax advisor with questions regarding their tax questions.

Do you provide transportation?
Scheduled transportation for activities is included in the monthly maintenance fee.  Personal transportation is done so by scheduling with our Transportation Department for a nominal fee. Scheduling can be done to accommodate physician visits, appointments, and for private scheduled outings.

Do I have to be Lutheran to live at the Orlando Lutheran Towers?
No, the association between the Orlando Lutheran Towers and St. Paul Lutheran Church does not discriminate base on race, color, religion, or any other discriminatory biases. The Orlando Lutheran Towers is comprised of all denominations.

What utilities/services are included with my monthly maintenance fees?
Residents of the Orlando Lutheran Towers are provided with their monthly maintenance fees water, electricity, cable television, local telephone, flat linen service, weekly housekeeping, maintenance needs, 24-hour security.

Does the Orlando Lutheran Towers accept pets?
The Orlando Lutheran Towers has specific pet policies and can accommodate some pets. Your sales counselor will be able to give you more specifics on the pet policy at the Orlando Lutheran Towers.

Do you provide accommodations for overnight guests?
The Orlando Lutheran Towers provides fully furnished nicely accommodated guest apartments at a very reasonable nightly fee. Guests who are accompanied by a resident at the Towers can utilize all amenities and participate in scheduled activities. Guests can also stay in your private apartment home at your discretion. Meals are additional for all guests and more specific pricing can be discussed with your sales counselor.

How is the food in the community?
The Orlando Lutheran Towers takes pride in its food and the presentation of all meals. All meals are prepared by our staff and supervised by the Executive Chef. A licensed dietician also oversees the menus to assure the nutritional needs are met for all residents. Our residents have the luxury of being greeted by a host or hostess and being served restaurant style by our wonderful waiters and waitresses. It is not rare to hear our residents state they have noticed a welcomed weight gain since joining the Towers.

If I am sick and can’t get to the dining room, can my meal needs be met?
Meals can be ordered from the room and picked up at the dining room, or in the occasion you are unable to pick up you meal, it can be delivered directly to your room.

Are reservations required at the dining room? Is there assigned seating?
Residents are welcome to come whenever they want during the scheduled meal times. Seating is not assigned - you can sit wherever you want. There is a first come first serve policy in the Dining Room.

I don’t think I am ready yet. I’m too young!

Can I keep my car?
Yes. In fact the majority of our residents maintain their personal vehicles, which allows them to add to their worry free lifestyle at the Orlando Lutheran Towers. Many of our residents whom reside in the Towers continue to work, pursue volunteer activities, educational opportunities, as well as a large range of recreational activities.

Do you provide Health Care Services?
Orlando Lutheran Towers has its very own Home Health Agency as well as a Wellness Center.
